In 2003, Aristocrat
released 50 Lions slots to the world. Although the Australian slot machine manufacturer has been around since the 1950’s, this slot game took the company to new heights thanks to an innovative idea. It is the first of the company’s 50 payline slots, and for this reason garnered immediate attention both locally as well as worldwide. There are similar games available, but I have always enjoyed this one thanks to the thousands of winning combinations, and of course, the bonus games.

With an African theme and a lovely savannah in the background, the Aristocrat title offers a Free Spins feature, where players can trigger 10 freebies with three Flower Scatters landed on the reels. Free spins come with an extra Diamond Wild.
Game Details
As of late, the trend within the slot machine industry has been in the direction towards more payout lines. 50 Lions does not disappoint in this area. To offer more paylines, Aristocrat decided to increase the number of symbols to four per reel. Additionally, each credit played is for two paylines instead of only one. This, in turn, gives the player a better chance of not only winning more often but winning also winning a bigger jackpot when they do win.
The biggest benefit of 50 Lions slots is simple: there are more than 2,000 possible winning combinations. A jungle theme makes it easy to stay involved with the game, and matching two neighboring symbols (or more) will result in being paid.

The symbols featured are lions, giraffes, zebras, flowers, native girls singing, indigenous trees, and diamonds. Also found on the reels are the traditional A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 found on most slot machine games.
Game Play
50 Lions slot machines are available in several betting denominations with the minimum being one penny. You have the ability to play up to 10 credits per line, or a total of 500 credits. As you can see, a low minimum bet coupled with 50 paylines makes it easy for those of all budgets to get involved.
Some important features to keep in mind: all payouts, including scatters, are left to right; flower symbol appears only on reels 1, 2, and 3; diamond symbols appears only on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 and can be a substitute for any of the symbols except a scattered flower.
Bonus Games
Lion Slots Online Casino
When you land three flower symbols, left to right, a bonus game is awarded. The bonus game consists of 10 free spins. During the bonus game the lions run and the diamonds spin in place. An additional wild symbol is added to reels, 2, 3, 4 and five after each bonus game spin. If you hit three flower symbols during a free spin you will receive five more free spins. Unfortunately, unlike many other slot machines, the bonus can only be re-triggered one time.
Last but certainly not least, you should be aware of the King’ Jackpot. This payout consists of 1 million pennies or a total of $10,000. While this may not be the largest payout you will find, for a relatively small bet it is one that you will want to chase.
Although 50 Lions slots are not as popular as some others by Aristocrat, such as Queen of the Nile and Dolphin Treasure, I always take the time to play. It is not everyday that you get the chance to play a 50 payline slot machine that offers a small minimum bet and an exciting, well paying bonus game.
My experience playing 50 Lions Slots
I first played 50 Lions Slots at Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma. It was a penny slot game. I have subsequently played the game at the Palazzo Las Vegas, Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas and at The Palms, also in Las Vegas. I have never really hit a big jackpot playing this slot. Mostly I have broken even. But, I love the bonus game. That is what keeps my coming back to play this game. Judging by what I see in the casinos, 50 Lions slots is a big hit with other slots players as well.
